Tutorials/Importing and Exporting Ships

Import to Multiplayer

  • Build a ship and save it in singleplayer OR build it online and press "Save in Local Catagory"
  • Go onto a server
  • Open the catalog, press `Import Ship from Local` button
  • Type in your ships name (Case sensitive)
  • The ship will upload to the server, and be added to your personal list

Downloaded Ships

  • Download a ship you like (Assure it`s not older than June 10th 2013)
  • Extract the contents of the zip (should be a .sment file ext)
  • Open the launcher
  • Go to tools menu > Ship Catalog Manager
  • Press the Import button
  • Navigate your disk to where you extracted the .sment file
  • Double click on the ship. It will automatically be extracted to your catalog under available ships.
  • Start a singleplayer server, the new ship is under available list

To add it to your personal list

  • Open the catalog, press "Import Ship from Local" button
  • Type in your ships name (Case sensitive)
  • The ship will be added to your personal list

Post Ships Online

  • Open the launcher
  • Uplink to Star-made.org
  • Go to tools menu > Ship Catalog Manager
  • Here is a list of all ships on your disk
  • Click on the ship you want, and press the "upload" button

Old Ships arent in your available/personal list?

If the universe is reset, all entries are removed, but the blueprint is still on your disk.

  • Open the catalog, press "Import Ship from Local" button
  • Type in your ships name (Case sensitive)
  • The ship will be added to your list again
