Weapons in StarMade range from antimatter cannons to missiles.

Types of Weapons

Antimatter Cannon

Main article: Antimatter_Cannon

The Antimatter Cannon is the most simple form of weapon in StarMade. It shoots laser bolts. You need to connect it to a weapons computer and assign them to a key for it to function. Placing them adjacent to each other makes them more powerful.

Salvage Cannon

Main article: Salvage_Cannon

The salvage cannon is used to mine minerals, as an alternative to getting out of your ship and doing it manually. It shoots a laser beam. You need to connect a salvage computer and assign it a key for it to function. Placing them adjacent to each other makes them more powerful.

d1000 Missile Array

Main article: d1000_Missile_Array

These so-called 'dumb missiles' fire in a straight line, and explode when they hit an object or reach their maximum distance. You need to connect a d1000 Missile CPU and assign it a key for it to function, and as with other weapons, placing then adjacent to each other makes them more powerful.

SD KB Missile Array

Main article: SD_KB_Missile_Array

These missiles are heat seeking, and will target any nearby ship. Other than that they work similarly to the d1000 Missile Array. You need to connect a SD KB Missile CPU and assign a key for it to function. Placing the arrays adjacent to each other increases their power.

SD BB Missile Array

Main article: SD_BB_Missile_Array

These lock-on missiles take time to target a ship, and then fire a missile that follows it. You need to connect a SD BB Missile CPU and assign a key for it to function. Placing the arrays adjacent to each other increases their power.

Dis-Integrater (Explosive)

Main article: Dis-Integrater (Explosive)

Explodes on impact, so mostly used on small suicice bombers or mines.

Handheld Weapon

A simple weapon that a player holds when first spawning into a new universe simply called "Weapon". Doing 2-5 damage on shot, the weapon is only good for taking out other Players or NPC's not in ships. The weapon has about the same range as a Antimatter_Cannon. If a player drops the weapon or looses it in any other way, it cannot be bought or crafted, but another can be obtained from another player, even a false account. The weapon appears to be holstered when not being held, on the right leg of the player or NPC.

Uses of weapons

This article is a work in progress.

As you would expect, weapons are mostly used to destroy enemy ships. Some, like the salvage cannon gather resources (mine).
